The 1940s Military Organic Herringbone Utility Jacket is made from a Japanese reproduction fabric inspired by military workwear of the 1940s. Woven in a classic herringbone pattern, this fabric was originally favored for its durability, ease of movement, and ability to hide wear over time. At 8oz, it offers a lightweight but resilient feel, suitable for year-round layering.

Made from 100% organic cotton, the fabric balances strength and comfort while staying true to the utilitarian origins of the original material. The herringbone weave adds subtle texture and depth, giving the jacket a vintage appearance without feeling heavy or stiff.

The Utility Jacket is a functional workwear jacket inspired by classic French chore coats and military utility garments. It features a hip-length cut, a straight, relaxed silhouette, and large practical pockets designed for everyday use. Built as a staple outer layer, it’s intended to be worn over shirts or light layers, offering utility without excess.
